SAA Supports Assembly Bill 162

By John Forester | April 28, 2021

The SAA testified today in support of Assembly Bill 162, relating to the payment of equalization aid to school districts, during a public hearing on the bill before the Assembly Committee on State Affairs.  Superintendent Aaron Sadoff (North Fond du Lac) also delivered outstanding testimony, and Neenah Superintendent Mary Pfeiffer submitted testimony supporting the bill as well.  The testimony was well received by the Committee, and we are hopeful the bill will move forward.

Last week, the SAA submitted similar testimony in support of Senate Bill 177, the companion bill to AB 162, for a public hearing on the bill before the Senate Committee on Education.  We greatly appreciate the authors of the bill, Rep. Jeremy Theisfeldt and Senator Andre Jacque, for bringing the bill forward.  Please contact the SAA with any questions you may have regarding the SAA’s position on the bill.
