April 7 School Referenda

There are 74 school referenda in 56 school districts on the ballot for Tuesday’s election. There are 39 school referenda to issue debt. The largest issue debt referenda is Port Washington-Saukville for $49,400,000 being requested for additions and renovations to several schools. There are two referenda for $41 million: Deforest Area and Madison Metropolitan. All issue debts combined total $535.9 million. There are 33 referenda for non-recurring in 30 school districts. The longest term non-recurring referenda is in Kiel which would begin in 2015 and end in 2025. The largest non-recurring is in Wausau for $2 million over five years. Total non-recurring is $22.1 million. There are 2 recurring referenda totaling $575,000.
