Proposal To Impact Transgender Students, School Policy
By Wisconsin School Administrators Alliance staff | October 9, 2015
As you are likely aware, Representative Jesse Kramer (R-Kewaskum) and Senator Steve Nass (R-Whitewater) are proposing to bar transgender students from using school bathrooms or locker rooms assigned to the gender with which they identify, under a bill draft currently being circulated for co-sponsorship in the State Capitol. Governor Scott Walker has also expressed support for the concept of the proposal.
Clearly, this is an extremely controversial issue and the SAA is requesting your feedback on the bill draft to help guide our actions as the proposal moves forward. Please send your comments to beth@wsaa.org.
Thanks for listening, and as always, thanks for all your efforts on behalf of the children you serve. Every Child, Every Day.
