State of the State Coverage

By Wisconsin School Administrators Alliance staff | January 20, 2016

From WisPolitics.com …

WisPolitics.com has now posted full coverage of Gov. Scott Walker’s State of the State address, including his suggestion moving to a self-insurance model is one way to reform government and generate savings that could be invested in education.

Lawmakers from both sides raised questions about the suggestion, while Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald, R-Juneau, said new revenue projections expected out later this week could make legislators hesitant to spend new money.

In his speech, Walker called for lawmakers to pass his college affordability package, though Fitzgerald also said the tight window lawmakers have before adjourning for the year could impact that.
