Statewide Voucher Program Enrollment Counts

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has announced enrollment information related to private school voucher students in the statewide Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP).
Of particular interest are the following two pieces of information:
- Of the 538 new students to the WPCP in the 2014-15 school year, 19.2 percent (100.5 FTE) attended a public school last year. (73.3 percent attended a private school last year)
- Over the two years of the program, 19.9 percent (206 FTE) of students who received a voucher had attended a public school in the year prior to receiving the voucher.
